| Job Summary |
Lakeridge Systems Group's client is a major Financial Institution in the Canadian market with a robust and comprehensive set of Java-based applications. Several projects are currently underway that require tremendous expertise in Java and J2EE technology in order to contribute as a primary project team member. During this 1-year contract, the Senior Java Developer will be required to work on different Java/J2EE-based projects and initiatives. All work will be done onsite at the client's location in the GTA. |
| Responsibilities |
- Turning business requirements into technical specifications
- Understanding user interface concepts
- Working with a technical lead and project manager in order to complete assignments according to the clients’ requirements
- Designing sound and secure Java/J2EE-based solutions
- Unit testing of all custom coding
- Developer testing of all custom components
- Implementation support

| Qualifications & Attributes |
- Minimum 4-year University degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 7 years working experience with complex, large scale Java/J2EE environments
- Minimum 5 years experience with complex JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience with XSL development using XML data
- Sun certification under the Java/J2EE program
- Knowledge of the IBM Rational suite of development products
- Proven experience in delivering robust, efficient end-to-end solutions to clients
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying Java/J2EE based solutions
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
